Mediterranean Whites

medwhitesAs summer draws to a close, this Tuesday Tasting (Sept 5) we bid farewell to beach season with three great Mediterranean white wines. Featuring:

  • Villa Santa Loios, Portugal – Named after the Loios monks who have a long history in this southern region of Portugal, this dry white is made from two of the area’s traditional grape varieties (Rabo de Ovelha and Roupeiro) to create a fresh, crisp wine tasting of citrus, tart apple and minerals. $11 btl, $6 btg
  • Anil Fresh, Spain – A bright, white blend of 50% Macabeo (Spain’s most popular white grape) and 50% Chardonnay resulting in a very fragrant and crisp white tasting of pineapple and citrus. $16 btl, $7 btg
  • Zoe White, Greece – This juicy white blend (made from Greek grapes Roditis and Moscofilero), combines orange and lemon with jasmine and mint to create a fresh, fruity white that’s not too sweet or citrusy. $12 btl, $6 btg

Tasting: $10
