Regional Reds

intlpinotThis Tuesday Tasting (Oct 9) we try three tasty reds that are excellent examples of the regions that have helped make them famous. Featuring:

  • Cardwell Hill Pinot Noir, Oregon – An elegant example of a Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, this bright ruby red combines ripe cherry, plum and strawberry flavors with a touch of earth and nice acidity that keeps you wanting more. $20 btl, $9 btg
  • Misfits Wine Co “Cycle Buff Beauty”, Australia – If you can look past the “Buff Beauties” on the label (tho it will be hard) the Misfits deliver another quintessential Australian red blend: Shiraz and a splash of Malbec combine to create dark flavors of blueberry and boysenberry, complemented by rich baking spices and a touch of woodsmoke in this big, jammy red. $18 btl, $8 btg
  • Fable Cabernet Sauvignon, California – Lush blueberry, blackberry and cocoa flavors? Finished with a hint of vanilla and cedar cigar box? Yes please! Sign us up for this smooth, full-bodied Cali Cab. $16 btl, $8 btg
