This Tuesday Tasting (Nov 13) we try 3 elegant wines from 3 different regions of Italy. Featuring:
- Scarpetta Pinot Grigio, Venezie – This light but vibrant Pinot Grigio tastes of stone fruits, honey, and pear with elegant floral notes and a nice minerality on the finish. $15 btl, $7 btg
- Demarie Barbera d’Alba, Piedmont – This intense, full-bodied red tastes of rich mulberry jam and stewed prune with a hint of spice and a nice dry finish. $22 btl, $9 btg
- Visconti della Rocca Montepulciano Reserva, Abruzzo – This aged Montepulciano from central Italy knocked our socks off with its rich flavours of dark blueberries and black plums, earthy notes and mocha, with a long, spicy finish. $15 btl, $7 bg
