This Tuesday Tasting (Dec 10) we try three festive sparklings from around that world that will get you in the mood for the holiday season. Featuring:
- Tenuta Santome Prosecco, Italy – This light, easy drinking Prosecco is perfect for any celebration: Cantaloupe, apricot and golden apples combine with a hint of yeast in this fruit driven bubbly that’s not too sweet. $13 btl, $6 btg
- Chandon Blanc de Noirs, California – One of the first U.S. houses to adopt this unique winemaking style (using only dark skinned grapes to create a rich white), the result is an elegant, full-bodied bubbly tasting of red cherry, currants and strawberry with a soft, lingering creamy texture. $24 btl, $8 btg
- Louis Grenelle “Si Irresistible” Cremant Rose, Loire, France – This limited edition sparkling (created to celebrate their 150th year of winemaking) is truly a party in a pretty package: A pale, creamy pink that combines floral notes, green apples, ripe red berries and a hint of mandarin orange in a lush mouthful. $21 btl, $8 btg
Tasting: $13
And if you haven’t been in for a Tuesday Tasting in a while, we are now serving artisanal flat breads to complement each tasting. This week? “White & Black”, A White Mushroom Pizza with Black Truffle Oil
