Insane for Spain

riojawines

This Tuesday Tasting we grab the bull by the horns and try three flavour-filled Spanish wines. Featuring:

  • Can Feixes Blanc, Spain – A still white wine made with traditional Cava grapes? Sign us up! This racy blend of Paralleda, Macabeo and Xiarello combines zesty lemon, lime and green apple notes with a touch of white pepper on the finish. $17 btl, $7 btg
  • Bodegas Nekeas Cepa por Cepa – This 100% Garnacha from old vine grapes undergoes cold fermentation and very light aging in neutral oak to highlight the rich fruit flavors of the grape (red cherry, raspberry and strawberry) balanced with a beautiful minerality and silky finish. $13 btl, $6 btg
  • Montana Crianza – This red Rioja is aged for 12 months in French oak to create a nice balance between the rich fruit flavors of Tempranillo (raspberry, blackberry and black plum) with an added touch of spice and chocolate. $17 btl, $7 btg

Tasting: $12
