Weirdly Wonderful Wines: Part II

weirdlywonderfulwineTues-Thurs Tasting
Dec 1 – Dec 3

This week we continue our try of tasty, but unusual, wines. Featuring:

  • Anne Amie “Cuvee Amrita”, Oregon – This lively Oregon sparkling is made from 6 different white grapes (Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Muller Thurgau, Viognier, Chard and Gewurzt) that are hand sorted and whole-cluster fermented in stainless steel to highlight the bright fruit flavors: tart, tropical fruit like kiwi and passionfruit, are complemented by berry and floral notes with a hint of ginger spice. $14 btl, $7 btg
  • Ferrari Carano “Siena”, CA – This award-winning Sonoma wine is made predominately from Sangiovese and aged in a mix of new and neutral oak to create an easy-sipping red with rich fruit notes of blackberry, blueberry, and pomegranate finished with soft touch of sweet oak and butterscotch. $20 btl, $8 btg
  • Scarlet Vine Cabernet Sauvignon, Maipo Valley, Chile – Grown in the foothills of the Andes, this Cab benefits from dry weather and cool evenings resulting in small – but potent! – grapes that make for a rich, aromatic Cab tasting of black cherry, raspberry, toasted oak, and a touch of dried herbs and earthiness. $16 btl, $7 btg

Tasting: $13

Paired with: Pastrami, Swiss & Caesar Flatbread

Hi there! You do not currently need a reservation to attend a tasting. Due to Covid, we have extended our Tuesday Tastings to Tues through Thurs so you can come in any evening on those days and we have the tasting notes and wine flights available. In the past, we have done “Meet the Maker” tastings where the winemaker or assistant is in attendance and discusses each wine as we pour, and in those cases we do ask for reservations, but again, don’t foresee holding those again until things start to return to normal. Hope this was helpful and hope to see you some evening!
