Weekly Wine Flight: Tues, Nov 9 – Thurs, Nov 11

From a Blanc de Blancs to a wine hand crafted for the Swarovski family, this week we try 3 tasty treats from South America. Featuring:

  • Vendeval Blanc de Blancs, Curico Valley, Chile – This 100% Chardonnay is hand picked and undergoes cold press before being fermented in the Charmat method to create a light, crisp white tasting of fresh apples and pears with subtle yeasty notes. $13 btl, $6 btg
  • Huarpe Lancatay Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina – Grown at more than 3,200 feet above sea level, this 100% Malbec is hand harvested, undergoes malolactic fermentation and is left unfiltered before being aged in a mix of French oak and stainless steel. The result? A soft, elegant red with flavours of rich red plums and berries with a touch of toasted nuts and oak. $14 btl, $6 btg
  • Bodega Norton Privada Estate Reserve, Mendoza, Argentina — With more than 150 international awards, Bodega Norton is renowned for its reds and this blend of Malbec, Merlot and Cab (originally made for the Swarovski family private cellar) is a beautiful example: blackberry, mulberry and black cherry combine with hints of toast, coffee and Indian spices. $27 btl, $11 btg
