Start off Artwalk on Fri, Nov 14, with a special wine tasting of 4 South African wines from Beau Joubert, a 17thcentury farm in the Stellenbosch Wine Region. Meet the Managing Director of the vineyard, Andrew Hilliard, who will discuss the details that go into making some of the best old-vine wines from the region. Featured wines include:
- Oak Lane Chenin Blanc/Sauvignon Blanc Blend—A blended white that balances guava and other tropical fruits with citrus and tangy green pepper.
- Beau Joubert Old Vine Chenin Blanc—Hands down, one of the most elegant chenin blancs around, this soft, creamy, white combines both zesty citrus flavors with a hint of oak.
- Beau Joubert Shiraz—A full bodied, Rhone style shiraz that features pepper, cloves, dark currants, and plums.
- Beau Joubert Ambassador—A red blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon and shiraz that results in a complex wine tasting of dark berries, stewed fruits, spice, mocha and cigars.
