This Tuesday we bring you a very special tasting from 5:00-7:00: Meet the Makers—A Tale of Two Sisters. Manuela Ariano from Cantina Ariano in Puglia, Southern Italy, also known as the “Land of Wine”, comes to share her and her sister’s (Federica) passion for beautiful wines made with minimal impact on the environment at their vineyard. Featuring:
- Pietrenere Falanghina/Bombino Blend—One of our favorite white blends out of Southern Italy (Puglia), these two grapes combine to create a flavorful full-bodied white tasting of rich, tropical fruit with a touch of vanilla.
- Pietrenere Troia/Negroamaro Blend—A ruby red made of Nero di Troia (also called Uva di Troia), tasting of red and black berries balanced by spices.
- Il Nero-Uva di Troia—Another intense red made of Nero di Troia, this time aged for several months to create a more full-bodied red tasting of blackberries, red berries, and a hint of licorice.
