Forget champagne and prosecco! This Tuesday Tasting we’re trying 3 sparklings that are not your usual fare. Featuring:
- Bisson Glera Frizzante, Italy – Made from the same grape as in Prosecco (Glera) but fermented naturally to create a bone-dry, effervescent bubbly tasting of lemon, fresh greens (tarragon and arugula) with clean, mineral finish perfect for scorching summer days. $22 btl, $8 btg
- Sokol Blosser Evolution, Oregon -- This fruit-filled white from Willamette Valley is made in the Champagne-method and incorporates several different grapes to create a round, creamy white with tropical flavours and a touch of honeysuckle and vanilla. $15 btl, $7 btg
- Viva la Vida, Spain – This bright pink Cava from just outside of Barcelona is made from 100% Pinot Noir, showcasing the bright (and bubbly!) cherry and raspberry flavours balanced with clean slate and stone on the finish for a refreshing sparkling summer rose. $16 btl, $7 btg
