This week we try 3 very different blends from 3 different countries. Featuring:

  • Pierre Amadieu Côtes du Rhône Blanc, Gigondas, Rhone, France – Flavours of peach, pear and gooseberry are balanced with the nice acidity of grapefruit and lemon zest in this white blend of Grenache Blanc and Clairette. $13 btl, $6 btg
  • Trinity Hill “The Trinity”, Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand – Leather and plum combine in this lush Merlot-driven blend, with a hint of black currants and blueberries (from the Cab, Malbec and Syrah) and a touch of mocha and baking spice (Tempranillo) balanced by French oak.  $17 btl, $7 btg
  • Peirano Illusion, California – A new vintage brings another great blend of Zin, Merlot, Petite Sirah & Cab to create opulent flavors of plum, dark berries and cocoa balanced with a touch of herbs and anise for a smooth, supple finish. $14 btl, $7 btg
