Weekly Flight
Tues, Mar 2 – Thurs, Mar 4

This week we try three lush red blends out of California. Featuring:

  • Ridge Three Valleys – This highly ranked blend of Zin, Petite Sirah and Carignane from the historic Sonoma vineyard (est. 1885) is an elegant, layered red with ripe raspberry and red cherry on the front, hints of spices and herbs, and a nice touch of minerality and clay on the finish. $26 btl, $9 btg
  • Angels & Cowboys Proprietary Red – Another highly ranked Zin blend out of Sonoma, this time the red relies on ripe fruit flavors from Malbec and meaty notes from Syrah to create a rich red tasting of black currant and dark berry preserves with more than a dash of dark chocolate, vanilla and hazelnut. $18 btl, $7 btg
  • Cosentino “The Dark” – We’re big fans of this Lodi Winery’s rich reds and “The Dark” is another palate (and pocketbook) pleaser: Petit Verdot, Malbec & Petite Sirah combine in an inky red filled with herbal aromas of  juniper, velvety flavours of black plum, blueberry and cassis and a dry dusty finish. $15 btl, $7 btg

Tasting: $13
