Weekly Wine Tasting: Tues, Mar 23 – Thurs, Mar 25
This week we’re very excited to taste 4 fun new wines from the heart of Aragon, Spain. Made by Bodegas Anadas, the line is named “Care” after the ancient Roman term for the area (meaning “lovely prairie”) but also to represent both the care they put into making their wines as well as the community – working with local artists on the labels and donating a portion of their profits to charity. We hope you’ll enjoy them as much as we do!
- Care Sobre Lias White – This balanced blend of Chardonnay and Grenache Blanc makes for a great summer sipper: green apple, fresh lime and a splash of pineapple combine in this fresh, clean white. $12 btl, $6 btg
- Care Solidarity Rose – Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon combine in this well ranked rose tasting of crushed strawberries, watermelon and citrus with a nice touch of minerality. $12 btl, $6 btg
- Care Sobre Lias Red – This blend of 50% Garnacha and 50% Syrah is aged in neutral oak for 4 months to create a soft, fruity red with flavors of black berries, black plum and just a hint of earth and spices. $12 btl, $6 btg
- Care Garnacha Nativa – 100% Garnacha from old vines is aged for 8 months in oak to create a lush, classic red tasting of dark cherry and red raspberry with more than a touch of creamy mocha. $15 btl, $7 btg
