Chuck Roast Recipe

Classic Dirt Cake

Season chuck roast with salt, pepper, and herbs.

Sear roast in a hot skillet until browned on all sides.

Place roast in a slow cooker or Dutch oven.

Add onions, carrots, potatoes, and garlic around the roast.

 Pour beef broth or red wine over the ingredients.

Cook on low heat for 6-8 hours until tender.

Remove roast and vegetables; thicken juices into gravy if desired.

Serve slices of succulent chuck roast with the flavorful vegetables and gravy.
