Classic Mint Julep Recipe
Start with a silver julep cup or a highball glass.
Add about 6-8 fresh mint leaves to the cup.
Sprinkle a teaspoon of powdered sugar over the mint leaves.
Gently muddle the mint leaves with the sugar to release their flavor.
Fill the cup with crushed ice, packing it down lightly.
Pour 2 ½ ounces of bourbon over the ice.
Stir gently to mix the bourbon, sugar, and mint
Garnish with a fresh sprig of mint and serve with a straw. Enjoy your refreshing mint julep!
