Winter Whites

WinterWhitesAs cooler weather begins to kick in, this Tuesday Tasting we try three full-bodied California whites that are rich enough to complement heavier meals and cooler climes while still providing a refreshing sip of “sunshine in a bottle”.

  • Pine Ridge Chenin Blanc-Viognier—We fell in love with this blend in Atlanta and are thrilled to see it’s now available in Alabama; these two bold grapes combine to create powerful fruit-filled flavors of lychee, honeydew, and yellow plums, but with a clean tea and citrus finish that leaves you ready for more. $14 btl, $7 btg
  • Steele Pinot Blanc — One of our favorite white wines, this unique grape is full-bodied and elegant, tasting of tropical fruit, lemon cream and peach, with just the slightest hint of oak to give it a creamy, full-bodied feel. $20 btl, $8 btg
  • Mossback Chardonnay — This elegant Russian River white strikes the perfect balance of cold fermentation (allowing the flavour of the fruit to shine) with a small percentage of oak aging resulting in flavorful white tasting of crisp green apples and grapes with a touch of cream and custard on the finish. $15 btl, $7 btg

Tasting: $11
