- Paitin Barbera d’Alba Serra, Piedmont — This historic Italian vineyard (est 1796) in Northeast Italy produces an elegant, medium bodied Barbera that tastes of ripe red cherries, a touch of oak, and finishes with a clean minerality. $19 btl, $9 btg
- Casa Contini Biferno Riserva, Molies – This Southern Italian blend of Montepulciano and Aglianico makes for a full-bodied, smooth red tasting of blackberry, chestnut, sweet pepper and a slate-like finish. $13 btl, $6 btg
- Rubbia al Colle Rabuccolo, Tuscany – Putting the “super” in Super Tuscan (wines made with non-indigenous grapes) this rich red blend of Cab, Merlot, Cab Franc & Syrah tastes of dark, ripe fruits balanced by with vanilla and a hint of leather and earth. $18 btl, $8 btg
