This Tuesday Tasting we get a jump on Bastille Day with 3 great French wines that will make you say “vive le vin!” Featuring:
- Cave des Vignerons Chablis – This unoaked Chardonnay from northern Burgundy showcases the ripe fruit-filled flavors of the grape with none of the wood usually associated with it, tasting of tropical fruits and ripe apples, combined with the “flinty” flavor that makes the region famous for its crisp, elegant whites. $24 btl, $8 btg
- Domaine Marion Pral Morgan Beaujolais – This medium bodied, fruity red is an example of Beajoulais at its best: made from 100% Gamay tasting of blackberry and peaches this is a soft velvety mouthful with a surprisingly mineral finish. $19 btl, $7 btg
- Domaine Rosier Brut Cremant — A French bubbly from the first region in the country to produce sparkling wines (sorry Champagne, you may get all the props, but you weren’t the OG) this sparkling starts off with floral notes, tropical flavors, and a hint of yeast to produce a creamy, elegant white. $21 btl, $8 btg
