Le Tour De France

tourdefrance_wineThis Tuesday Tasting (Feb 5) we take a tour of France with three very different wines from three famous regions. Featuring:

M. Chapoutier  Belleruche Blanc, Cotes du Rhone – This bright white blend is harvested at night to keep the fresh fruit flavors alive: lovely floral notes open up to flavors of apricot, apple, herbs and a touch of sweeter citrus (think pink grapefruit and key lime). $15 btl, $7 btg

H. Bourgeois Petit Bourgeois Rose, Loire Valley – This 100% Pinot Noir Rose from the Bourgeois family (who have been making wine for 10 generations) is filled with juicy red raspberry and strawberry flavors balanced with a clean slatey touch of minerality. $17 btl, $8 btg

Château Paradis, Provence – An elegant red from the Provence region, this blend made from Cab (50%), Syrah (30%) and Grenache (20%) tastes of juicy black currant and berry with a hint of Asian spice flavors and pepper. $23 btl, $9 btg

Tasting: $13
