We love a good Cab Franc and this Tuesday Tasting (Aug 6) we try 3 different styles of this versatile red – from light and dry to silky and spicy. Featuring:
- Cabaret Frank – This medium-bodied red from Languedoc is blended with just a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon to create an easy drinking wine that strikes a great balance between dark red currants and plum with a hint of earth and herbs on the finish. $12 btl, $6 btg
- Domaine de Pallus Chinon Messanges Rouge – Silk, spice and everything nice! We love this smooth, elegant red from the Loire Valley with hints of dried raspberry, plum, rose petals and slightly woody notes. $18 btl, $8 btg
- Puydeval – This intense Cab Franc is blended with a touch of Syrah and Cab Sav to create spice-filled flavors of black cherry and blackberry with a touch of anise, pepper and a nice earthiness on the finish. $18 btl, $8 btg
Tasting: $12
