Meet the Maker Series: Mic Cripe, LOLA Wines
Tuesday, Aug 20, 5:30-7:30
This Tuesday we’re excited to have a special tasting with Mic Cripe of LOLA Wines. LOLA is a Napa Valley based boutique winery owned and run by winemaker Seth Cripe and committed to producing elegant, high quality and honestly priced wines. Mic has worked with his brother in all aspects of the winery over the last decade – from running tractors through the vineyards to hand bottling wine, to helping expand the sales and promotion of LOLA wines throughout the U.S. Mic has also trained with some of the top chefs in the U.S. and concurrently runs the brothers’ sustainable fishery and producer of bottarga, Cortez Bottarga in Florida. Mic will be sharing several wines from LOLA’s lineup.
*PLEASE NOTE: We will be having two seated tastings at 5:30 and 6:30 in order to work with Mic’s schedule. If you are interested in attending, could you please note the time-frame in our FB comments section so we can come up with a rough headcount for our back room?
- LOLA Rosé – This 100% Pinot Noir from younger vines in Mendocino and Sonoma Coast was picked slightly under-ripe and lightly crushed by foot, then pressed off the skins after 8 hours resulting in a vibrant rosé, with bright pink color and aromas of cherry and guava.
- LOLA Sonoma Coast Chardonnay – This pale gold Chard has flavors of tropical fruits and citrus, complimented by delicate floral aromas and a bright, crisp mouth-feel.
- LOLA California Pinot Noir – This blend of vineyards from Mendocino, Russian River Valley, Sonoma Coast and Monterey is bright garnet in color with aromas of cola, blackberry, cherry and vanilla notes.
- LOLA Russian River Valley Pinot Noir – A blend of Dijon clones brought over from France results in a complex red with aromas of wild strawberry, cherry, red currants and forest floor, accented by notes of dried tea, rose petals, cedar and vanilla bean.
