Pleasing Pinots

pleasingpinotsThis Tuesday Tasting (January 14) we sample 3 very different Pinot Noirs from 3 different countries. Featuring:

  • Liesl, Germany – This hand harvested Pinot from Southern Pfalz was a tasty surprise: Rich notes of black cherry and blackberry combine with a touch of allspice and vanilla and light hint of smoke on the finish to make a surprisingly bold German Pinot. $15 btl, $7 btg
  • Bellula, France – An elegant example of an old-world Pinot Noir, this soft and well-balanced red tastes of cherry, red fruits and a hint of vanilla balanced by a year of aging in French Oak. $15 btl, $7 btg
  • Four Graces, Oregon – This Willamette Valley Pinot garners rave reviews (Wine Spectator: 93 pts) for good reason: Raspberry, cherry and cranberry combine with a touch of earthiness and roasted coffee in this surprisingly layered, elegant pinot. $27 btl, $12 btg

Tasting: $13
