frenchtastingWeekly Wine Flight: Tues, June 1 – Thurs, June 3

This week we try 3 tasty wines from 3 different regions of France. Featuring:

  • Dom. de Régusse Bleu du Sud Rosé, Provence — A surprisingly delicate, fresh blush (especially for 100% Syrah) bursting with summer flavours of melon, red currant, grenadine and peach, with a delicate floral and minerally finish. $23 btl, $9 btg
  • Moulin de Gassac “Faune”, Languedoc – This 50-50 blend of Viognier & Chardonnay from the Gassac estate in Languedoc is a beautiful example of why this region is famous for its whites and rosés: soft notes of white flowers and spices explode into powerful flavours of apricots, pears and tropical fruit but with enough of a clean finish to leave you wanting more! $15 btl, $7 btg
  • Dom. Jean-Louis Chave Mon Coueur, Cotes du Rhone The Chave family have been growing vines and making wines since 1481 and this Rhone red highlights their expertise: black currant and blackberry, cherries, strawberries, with hints of cedar, herbs and spicy notes combine in a silky GSM. $23 btl, $9 btg

Tasting: $13
