Weekly Wine Flight: Tues, Aug 10 – Thurs, Aug 12

This week we try three “cool” reds that are perfect for warm weather (served with a light chill!)

  • Cabaret Frank, CA/France  – This Cab Franc is a venture between two wineries in Languedoc and California who pool their best fruit each year to create this medium bodied, easy drinking red that combines dark fruit flavours with a hint of herbs and plum. $12 btl, $6 btg
  • Henry Fessy Beaujolais Villages, France – The Fessy family has been specializing in Beaujolais since 1888 and it shows in this fruit-filled ruby red made from 100% Gamay with notes of notes of strawberry, raspberry, and peach. $14 btl, $7 btg
  • Mendiani Oaks Red Blend, Spain – This blend from Spain combines the ripe fruit flavours of Garnacha (blueberry, blackberry, black cherry) with a hint of spice and earth from Tempranillo to create a silky, smooth red. $12 btl, $6 btg

Tasting: $11

Flatbread Pairing $8: Prosciutto & Fig Flatbread with Balsamic Glaze
