Weekly Wine Flight: Tues, Aug 18 – Thurs, Aug 20
This week we try three tasty treats that show why Cali excels in wine making. Featuring:
- Harken Barrel Fermented Chardonnay — This Monterey white is getting rave reviews for reminding people that oaky Chards can still be delicate and layered: striking a tasty balance between toasted oak and clean, acidic notes, this white is filled with apple, pear, and tropical fruit flavours with a touch of lemon custard and baking spices. $14 btl, $7 btg
- Ferrari Carano “Siena” – This award winning Sonoma red is made predominately from Sangiovese and aged in a mix of new and neutral oak to create an easy-sipping red with rich fruit notes of blackberry, blueberry, and pomegranate finished with soft touch of sweet oak and butterscotch. $20 btl, $9 btg
- Banshee Cabernet – A classic Napa Cab at a great price point! Blackberry, black plum, and boysenberry combine with a touch of cocoa, caramel and smoke and a long silky finish. It’s no wonder this red is winning high accolades and is expected to only get better over the next 10-15 years. $19 btl, $8 btg
