Weekly Wine Flight: Tues, Aug 24 – Thurs, Aug 26
This week we continue our tour of tasting Spanish wines with 3 new offerings:
- Bodegas Riojanas Pregón Verdejo, Rioja – From one of the old names in Rioja (est 1890) comes a crisp, clean white tasting of white peaches and nectarines with hints of fresh herbs and a touch of anise. $11 btl, $6 btg
- RAW Rose, La Mancha – RAW stands for Really Awesome Wine, and we agree! This organic, vegan blush is a secret blend by the winemakers, but we aren’t going to complain after tasting the ripe summer flavors of strawberry and raspberry with hints of crisp lemonade and floral notes. $16 btl, $7 btg
- Anciano Garnacha, Valencia — Coming from the coastal region of Valencia also known as “Spanish Tuscany”, this robust red is from dry-farmed vines that produce rich flavours of red currant, red cherry, and black berry with a touch of sweet spice and cinnamon. $12 btl, $6 btg
Tasting: $11
