Warm climates and sea breezes make for a series of great wines perfect for this port city’s summer!
- Bodges as Laxas Albarino— Tasting of golden plums and green apples with a clean citrusy finish, this highly-ranked white (90+ points from Wine Enthusiast and Stephen Tanzer) is perfect for warm days, good seafood, and fun.
- Casal Garcia Vinho Verde Rose—Nothing says spring has sprung like the first glass of Vinho Verde, Portugal’s famous “green wine”. The first press of the season, the grape varietal may vary, and this version is a lovely rose, but the results are similar: a light, bright wine that is slightly effervescent with floral notes and tropical flavors.
- Altano Douro—A blend of 3 red grapes from the Douro Valley (Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca) this award winning wine is perfect for everyday drinking or food pairing, balancing notes of wildflowers and lavender with lush plum and dark cherry flavors and a slightly spicy finish.
