Wines of La Mancha

Don-Quixote-WindmillJoin us on a Quixote adventure this Tuesday for a special wine tasting featuring Spanish wines from Castilla La Mancha (home to Madrid, Manchego, and the infamous Don Quixote). Christi Azurmendi Moon, regional manager and owner of Catamarca Imports, will be at the Firehouse from 5:30 – 7:30 to share some of her favorite wines in this free tasting. Featuring:

  • Anil Fresh – A bright, white blend of 50% macabeo and 50% chardonnay resulting in a very fragrant and crisp white tasting of pineapple and citrus.
  • Alsur Collection Tempranillo – Aromas of red fruits with hints of mocha, caramel and toasted wood combine in this 100% tempranillo for a smooth, fleshy flavor with nice balance between wood and fruit.
  • Finca Cerrada Reserva  – A rich, full bodied red with hints of subtle fruit, earth and leather created by this 50/50 blend of tempranillo and cabernet sauvignon.
  • Torre de Gazate Gran Reserva   –  This 100% cabernet sauvignon made in 2004 is a deep ruby red in color with spicy aromas and hints of oak, rich red fruits, forest soil and a full, silky mouth.
