Mediterranean Reds


As the weather warms, this Tuesday Tasting we try three tasty, dry reds from the Mediterranean region perfect for sipping by the beach.

  • Zoe Red Blend, Greece – Made in a Burgundy style, this blend of cabernet sauvignon and aghiorgitiko (also known as St. George) creates a dry, medium-bodied red, tasting of plums and dried herbs. $12 btl, $6 btg
  • Di Majo Sangiovese, Italy — A great red at great value, this 100% sangiovese earned 90 pts from Wine Spectator; bright red with floral notes tasting of rich berries with a hint of leather and anise on the finish. $12 btl, $6 btg
  • Paul & Remy, Spain — From the makers of Cuvee Paul comes this elegant tempranillo tasting of berries, dark plum, spices and a touch of tobacco $17 btl, $8 btg
