Southern Hemisphere Savs

SouthernSavBlancThis Tuesday Tasting we head to the deep (deep) south to try 3 very different styles of Sauvignon Blanc. Featuring:

  • Dandelion Vineyards “Wishing Clock”, Australia—One of the top-ranked Australian wines, this  surprisingly smooth white from Adelaide Hills is soft and fruity with a long, subtle finish. $17 btl, $8 btg
  • Hay Maker, New Zealand – Packing a powerful punch of grapefruit and tropical fruit flavors, balanced with an acidic finish, this is everything you’d expect from a Marlborough Sav. $12 btl, $6 btg
  • Southern Right, South Africa – A new-world wine, with old-world flair, this Sav is reminiscent of a French sancerre: ripe and pungent, tasting of cut grass, lemon, and gooseberry with a mineral finish. $16 btl, $7 btg

 Tasting: $10
