This Tuesday Tasting we try 3 fruit-filled, but uniquely flavored and balanced Rieslings that go well with warm weather, spicy food, and grilled seafood. Featuring:
- Corvidae Ravenna, Washington – Sourced from the Columbia Valley, cold fermentation in stainless steel showcases the ripe fruit of this Riesling tasting of tart Granny smith apples, peaches and a hint of tropical flavours. $12 btl, $6 btg
- Charles Smith Kung Fu Girl, Washington – Named after one of his former girlfriends, this interesting Riesling combines white peach, herbs, and mineral flavours with a surprising touch of mandarin orange on the finish. $13 btl, $7 btg
- Thomas Schmitt Kabinett, Germany – This elegant Riesling from the Mosel Valley (famous for its white wines) combines yellow apple and plum flavours with a touch of citrus, honeysuckle and minerality to create a fruity, fresh white that’s not too overpowering. $16 btl, $8 btg
