A collision between two personal watercraft near Key West Bight on Saturday afternoon resulted in the tragic death of a 27-year-old man.
The incident took place around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday as a tour group of personal watercraft operators was entering the docking area. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokesperson, Liam Rodriguez, confirmed the details.
Fortunately, there were no other injuries reported in the accident. Despite immediate CPR efforts by emergency personnel, the man could not be revived, Rodriguez stated. As of Saturday, the FWC was still in the process of informing the man’s family and had refrained from disclosing his identity. Rodriguez revealed that the deceased was a vacationer from India.
