A Taste of Portugal

winetasting1This Tuesday Tasting (Feb 26) we try 3 tasty wines from this beautiful southern European country. Featuring:

  • Aveleda Vinho Verde – Made from two classic grapes of Vinho Verde (Loureiro and Alvarinho) this light, bright white is packed with fruit flavors of apple, lemon and pear with a minerally aftertaste and touch of effervescence.
  • Lago Rose – This elegant blush from the Vinho Verde region (this time made from the red grape Vinhão) tastes of strawberry, gooseberry and ripe cherries with a clean, crisp finish.
  • Aplanta Red Blend – Grown in the south of Portugal, this blend of Aragonez and Alicante Bouschet results in a dark, plummy red tasting of blueberry, black cherry, spices and a touch of tobacco on the finish.

Tasting: $10
