Cool Grapes, Chill Wines

coolwhitesThis Tuesday Tasting (Oct 8) we’re pouring 3 very unique (and tasty!) white wines from around the world. Featuring:

  • Can Feixes Blanc, Spain – A still white wine made with traditional Cava grapes? Sign us up! This racy blend of Paralleda, Macabeo and Xiarello combines zesty lemon, lime and green apple notes with a touch of white pepper on the finish. $17 btl, $8 btg
  • Tenuta La Rocco Gavi, Italy – Made from the Cortese grape, these full-bodied whites from the Gavi region are considered “Piedmont’s jewel” for good reason: floral notes combine with lemon, green apple, honeydew and almond for a round mouthfeel with an elegant, flinty finish. $16 btl, $7 btg
  • Studio by Miraval, France – Is it red, white or rose? This unique blend from the famous Provence Chateau combines Vermentino (an Italian white) with Tibouron (a red grape unique to the region), Cinsault and Grenache to create a silky wine with flavours of ripe nectarine, strawberry and a surprising touch of salinity. $19 btl, $8

Tasting: $12
