This Tuesday we bring you a very special tasting from 5:30-7:30: Meet the Makers with Renata Boeri. Renata is visiting from Piedmont, Italy, where her family has spent five generations producing award-winning wines grown in the foothills of the Alps. Come meet Renata as she tours the Gulf Coast to share her experience in growing, cultivating and producing some of the most famous grapes in the world. This tasting will feature:
- Boeri Chardonnay – An elegant, unoaked Chardonnay tasting of ripe fruit and lemon, Boeri purchased this Chardonnay vineyard in the 1940s and has been producing Italian Chardonnays from there ever since.
- Boeri Barbera d’Asti Superiore – Grown on one of Boeri’s oldest vineyards, this rich, inky red tastes of plums, cherry and spice, with a surprising mineral finish that leaves you ready to come back for more.
- Boeri Moscato d’Asti –This sparkling Moscato does an excellent job of balancing sweet melons, apricots and a touch of honeydew with citrus flavors and an effervescence that makes it a perfect wine for before, after (and even during) meals!
