South African Reds Return!

Herd of elephants in african savannaThis Tuesday Tasting we’re back with 3 more Big Reds from the land of Big Game. Featuring one that’s new to the market, along with a couple of new vintage favorites:

  • Chamonix Rouge – New to U.S., we’re exited about this medium bodied red blend of Cab, Merlot, Malbec and Petite Verdot, tasting of red currants, spices and vanilla with a touch of cedar.
  • Spice Route Chakalaka – A house favorite that has been out of stock for more than a year, five red grapes are blended to create this intense berry and spice flavored red appropriately named for the South African spicy dish: “Chakalaka”.
  • Boekenhoutskloof (don’t worry, we won’t ask you to pronounce it!) “The Wolftrap” — This rich red made of Syrah, Mourvedre and Viognier has a spicy profile with ripe black fruits, violet aromas and a hint of oak.

Tasting: $12
