winesmoke1This Tuesday Tasting, we try 3 full-bodied reds filled with ripe fruit flavours, and yes, you guessed it, a touch of smokey flavours that will make you want to light up the barbecue and smoke ‘em (grill ‘em and drink em) if you got em! Featuring:

  • Big Fire Tempranillo, Oregon – A surprising find out of Oregon, this peppery red tastes of brambly fruit, dark cherry, a touch of vanilla and hints of cedar and cigar box. $21 btl, $8 btg
  • Cigar Box Malbec, Argentina – This hand-harvested red of out Mendoza has intense flavors of ripe plums, violet, vanilla, ending with a long silky finish and a touch of cigar smoke. $14 btl, $7 btg
  • Cosentino “Cigar” Old Vine Zin, California – A rich Lodi red from the makers of “The Dark”, this highly ranked wine (WE: 91 pts) tastes of black berry, cherry and pepper, with a rich meaty and wood smoke undertone. $16 btl, $7 btg
