Tour de France

frenchwineWeekly Wine Flight: Tues, Jan 18 – Thurs, Jan 20

From the heart of the country to the southern coast, this week we try 3 tasty treats from France. Featuring:

  • Lamblin & Fils Chablis, Bourgogne – From one of the oldest wineries and vineyards in Chablis (12 generations going back to 1690!) comes this classic, elegant white: sustainably farmed Chardonnay from 40-year-old vines is cold fermented in stainless steel to preserve the beautiful notes of white flowers and crisp green pear with the minerality and salinity that makes the region famous. $23 btl, $11 btg
  • Rhonea “Les Artistes”, Côtes-du-Rhône – This award-winning ruby red combines classic CDR grapes (Grenache, Syrah and Carignan) with a modern style to create an eminently drinkable red: ripe fruit flavours of blackberry, black cherry and cassis combine with a light touch of pepper, anise and dried herbs on the finish. $15 btl, $8 btg
  • Villa des Anges Cabernet, Languedoc – This rich Cab from Languedoc is lightly oaked to create a layered red with notes of black cherry, blackberry and currant, spices (cumin and coriander) and hints of red pepper, tobacco and earth. *Vegan/Sustainable $14 btl, $7 btg

Tasting: $13

Flatbread Pairing $8: Brie, Prosciutto, Fig & Walnut
